How can you participate in the IMO?

Path to becoming part of the World Organization Institute

Becoming a Professional Organizer is possible, but you must be aware that at this point the discipline is emerging and therefore follows different paths than traditional careers.

 

PROFILE: You have to be a person capable of understanding different things, even from your application to the Institute.

LETTER OF MOTIVES: Write to the Liaison Office explaining the reasons why you want to learn about Professional Organization and fields of application.

 

Duration: The Liaison Office will respond within the next 15 days, offering you an interview or explaining why we cannot accept your application.

INTERVIEW: If there is space available in the next training course (it is offered twice a year), and we believe the academic model may be suitable for you, we offer you an interview (costs $50 USD) with the Organizer, Antonio J. De Rosenzweig, to get to know you and for you to get to know us, resolve your doubts and concerns, and mutually establish the position that will allow us, or not, to move forward.

 

Duration: The interview takes place within 30 days after you accept and pay for the invitation.

ADMISSION: After the interview, if you decide whether you wish to join IMO, please inform us in writing. We will then review your application, and if both parties agree, we will proceed with the admissions process. Registration: $2,500 USD / Monthly Tuition: $1,000 USD

 

Duration: After your application has been accepted, you will have 10 calendar days to complete your registration.

BASIC TRAINING: The academic model is carried out through cases and research projects, but first, you must acquire basic knowledge within the initial program lasting one year, during which you can begin to use your own projects as a field of application.

 

Duration: We open two courses a year, one starts in February, the second one opens in September (both last one year with summer and winter holiday periods).

FIRST CERTIFICATION AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF ORGANIZERS: After the basic knowledge period, you become part of the International Community of CIO Organizers, integrating into research groups and organizational projects through which you learn, develop the discipline together with the community, contribute new advances and cover enough credits to achieve professional certification

 

Duration: After completing your one-year training, your certification will be given within the following 6 months depending on the availability of projects to evaluate you (you can submit your own project).

INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF ORGANIZERS: After achieving accreditation from the World Organising Institute, you become part of the Organizers International Society OIS®, within which you participate in case studies, research, organizational projects, disaster scenarios, complex events and opportunities within which we all build the discipline and achieve different levels of certification within organizational specialties, once both the validity and mastery of the knowledge have been demonstrated.
