WHAT RECOGNITION DOES THE WORLD INSTITUTE OF ORGANIZATION HAVE? The IMO is recognized by international organizations such as the UN, for which it has made contributions and publications; academic institutions such as UNAM in Mexico; governments with whom it has worked in crisis and disaster scenarios; and Fortune 500 companies, such as Mars, Nestlé, and Kellogg, among others, for whom it has provided global organizational strategies and events.
WHAT ARE ITS SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS? The IMO is the first organization on the planet to propose Organization as a natural science. Its two most important contributions are: 1. Establishing continuity as an organizational deliverable. 2. Demonstrating that the natural order is a source of study. From there, the World Institute of Organization has worked for 21 years, laying the groundwork for the development of the discipline as a natural science. Along the way, and based on the knowledge gained, we have designed the Universal Disaster Magnitude Scale (UDMS) ©; successfully managed the COVID-19 pandemic in populations exceeding 2 million people; and designed Universal Organizational Structures that allow for the articulation of interaction sequences in any scenario, at any time, and in any place.
HOW BIG IS THE INSTITUTE, AND WHY IS IT CALLED WORLD? Leveraging its expertise, the IMO's size is modular, depending on the situation. During the organization of large-scale events such as papal visits or disaster relief efforts, the IMO can expand to thousands of people, but its usual structure remains small to optimize resources. The IMO operates on a project-based model and, depending on the needs and resources of each project, creates organized communities. The term "World" in its name reflects the intention to emphasize the universality of the knowledge it provides. The organizational knowledge emanating from the IMO is applicable worldwide because it addresses behaviors found in the natural order, which are governed by universal principles.
Does the World Organizing Institute (IMO) have ongoing academic programs? Yes. The IMO offers certification programs for crisis and disaster management professionals, corporate organizers, and event organizers. It also designs courses and solutions tailored to the specific needs of businesses and governments.
